Statement for Environment Sustainability
(as at 1 Oct 2024)
Our Objective
To minimise our environmental impact by conserving energy, water, and other natural resources through the principles of Reuse, Recycle, and Reduce.
Our Goal
To ensure all stakeholders are informed of our environmental commitment, actively engage in sustainable practices, and support our initiatives, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for everyone.
Our Commitment
We are dedicated to preserving the environment for future generations.
Our Key Objectives
We have identified six key objectives to contribute to a sustainable environment.
-
Energy Efficiency
Objective: To conserve and reduce energy consumption.
To conserve energy, we ensure that all lights are switched off when not in use, including in meeting rooms, general office areas, and during lunch breaks. Additionally, we remind staff to switch off air-conditioners when the office is empty, set their temperature to 24-26 degrees, and turn off toilet lights when not in use.
-
Water Conservation Initiatives
Objective: To reduce water wastage
To promote water conservation across all our offices, we encourage reducing usage of water when washing hands or utensils in the toilets or common pantry. Do not leave the water running, and always ensure the tap is turned off properly after use.
-
Reuse/Recycle/Reduce
Objective: To reduce waste and support recycling and upcycling efforts
To promote recycling, we encourage staff to use the designated recycling bags for paper, cardboard, plastic, glass and metals. All confidential paper must be shredded securely and reuse non-confidential paper if possible. We encourage the "print both sides" feature and encourage staff and clients to go paperless by sharing documents digitally.
We donate old working laptops to not-for-profit organisations, and have non-working laptops decommissioned by our IT contractor before recycling.
-
Sustainable Procurement
Objective: To reduce the use of plastic and paper
To further our sustainability efforts across all offices we purchase paper from sustainable sources and do not purchase paper/plastic disposables. We discourage the use of paper and plastic cups, plates, and cutleries, and encourage everyone to bring their own reusable items for use in the office. This will help minimise waste and promote an eco-friendlier workplace.
-
Sustainable Transportation
Objective: To reduce air pollution
To reduce CO2 emissions, we encourage all employees to consider alternative transportation methods. Carpooling, using public transport, or riding a bicycle are great ways to contribute to a greener environment.
-
Hybrid Working/Hot Desking
Objective: To reduce usage of Space and our Carbon Footprint
To enhance flexibility and efficiency, we have implemented hybrid working for all staff Additionally, we have adopted a hot desking policy. This allows for a more dynamic and collaborative workspace.
